History of Ti Guan Yin:

The tea is named after the Chinese Goddess of Mercy Guanyin, who is known in Japan as Kannon and in Korea as Guam-eum. Guanyin is a female embodiment of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva. Luzhou is a major development in the upper Yangtze River and Sichuan province as well as an important production base of commodity rice, fruit such as litchi and longan, tea, and traditional Chinese medicine ingredients.
